Carole's Handcrafted Candles

 

   Our unique chunk candles are completely hand crafted in a 400 square foot candle shop located in Stockton, CA. Our materials consist of premium wax bringing you twelve hours of burn time per inch. Our wicks are 100% cotton, allowing for a clean burn. Our fragrances are of essential and blended oils, bringing you scrumptious scents that are sure to delight your senses. Our technique is simple; we make candles the good old-fashioned way. We create chunks by melting wax in large vats,adding color and scent, and pouring into large trays, allowing time for each color slab to cool. We then chunk each and every slab by hand with a special piece of equipment that dates back to the 1940's. Our companies little secret! It is our special shaped chunks that make each and every candle so unique. The chunked wax is then placed into a wicked mold, followed by an over pour of our specially blended formula, leaving mother nature to do her job to cool each candle to perfection.

Our company is comprised of three partners. Tom is a Doctor of Philosophy and psychotherapist, Anna is an Attorney at Law, and Carole a Hairstylist. Prior to starting our wholesale business, we had been playing in wax for many years. With no background training in melting wax, our trade was completely learned by trial and error. Carole lends her knowledge of the law of color to create the beautiful palettes in each of our candle lines. Anna has a keen sense of simplicity, keeping our product always looking its very best. Tom is the businessman and visionary,a key component to our company's future. The three of us continue to use each others strengths to build a strong foundation for our business. We were blessed to have had our Nona, who taught us the philosophy of craft. When the hands and mind work in harmony with one another, creativity awakens within, allowing a new craft to emerge. We will pass this philosophy on to further generations. View...
